Volunteers of America

Volunteers of America may be accessed by link here or in the sidebar.

VoA PicVoA is a not-for-profit “faith based” organization.  I first became acquainted with them six months ago when I was working with the Veterans Administration on housing.

Among their various missions, VoA helps provide housing and nominal program support for U.S. veterans.  They, with support and oversight from the Veterans Administration, provided me with temporary housing in an apartment in Punta Gorda, Florida.  This article is not to discuss my particular connection with the organization.  rather, it is to familiarize others with the organization in general.

Their Mission Statement is as follows;

Volunteers of America is a movement organized to reach and uplift all people and bring them to the knowledge and active service of God.

Volunteers of America, illustrating the presence of God through all that we do, serves people and communities in need and creates opportunities for people to experience the joy of serving others.

Volunteers of America measures its success in positive change in the lives of individuals and communities we serve.

Cor Novus highly recommends further research on VoA and their charitable activities.  To date I have found their assistance in my own life to be commendable and beneficial.
